silly (not so sleepy) girl
After putting Delaney down for the night, she fussed/cried longer than normal. After about 20 minutes, she sounded really upset. The sucker that I am ;) I go in her room to calm her down. After picking up her blankets off the ground, I pick her up to rock her. She first started on the front of me, with her head laying on my shoulder. I attempt to sing some "night night" song I made up. I think she is getting sleepy so I lay her sideways in my arms and continue to sing. She is not moving much and her eyes look like they are getting heavy. I continue my song in a very quite voice and I think she will be asleep soon, then....."HI HI HI HI". My little stinker! At that point I did lay her and down and said good night. She continued the "HI's" as I walked out of her room.

That's hilarious! I can picture the whole thing. :) It reminds me of a story Dennis told me the other night about how he had Alli in bed with him (I was at volleyball with Jess) and she was heavy eyed, body limp and relaxed when all of the sudden she pops up and says "Daddy? Daddy! HI! HI DADDY!!!" He said it took all of him not to bust up laughing but he laid still and she eventually laid back down and fell asleep. The stuff these little girls do provides constant entertainment. :) We love you Laney girl. XOXO
